As we look toward September 2020, teachers are rethinking what it means to create an inclusive learning environment. In this collaborative 3-part series, we will:

  • Create a vision of an Optimal Learning Environment across multiple teaching settings
  • Highlight Culture and Diversity and the role it plays in an Optimal Learning Environment
  • Provide practical ideas and strategies for building Optimal Learning Environments in the classroom and school community

Participants will benefit from the guidance of gifted JNTP facilitators and hearing from thoughtful colleagues on issues of cultural awareness, creating equitable learning environments and the impact of learner variability within the school setting. Teachers will come away with practical strategies to support diverse learners within the variety of learning settings for the upcoming school year.

Participation in all 3 sessions is required.

This is an interactive program – come prepared to actively engage in the learning by:

  • leaving your camera on
  • Being prepared to ask questions and share your insights
  • Responding to the facilitator prompts and participant questions/comment

Please note that CTLE credits must be requested in advance. In order to receive the credits, you must be logged in for the entire duration of the workshop, have your video camera on, and be in the frame.

This workshop is open to teachers in New York City only, as it is funded by Title IIA. Administrators, paraprofessionals, and P3 providers welcome.
