In a world where we are so busy curating our real life and social media image, we lose sight of who we are and what we want the world to look like. By performing acts of loving kindness for others, we are happier, more fulfilled and we make the world a better place. Gemilut chasadim, empathy and kindness are foundational principles in Judaism. We will explore how Judaism adds an important layer to life in the twenty first century. Come explore these ideas and more with renowned professor of psychology, researcher and director of the emotion regulation lab at Hunter College, Dr. Tracy Dennis-Tiwary. Tracy has appeared on ABC News and CBS News, and her articles have been widely published in the New York Times, Vox News among others.

In this workshop we will explore the follow habits that will provide for an empathy advantage:

  • Perspective Taking
  • Emotional Literacy
  • Self Regulation
  • Moral Imagination
  • Moral Courage
  • Practicing Acts of Kindness
