Join your fellow day school educators in a rare opportunity to learn more about Research for Better Teaching's four day course, "Sampling of Studying Skillful Teaching".

Be sure not to miss this introductory meeting to learn more about RBT and join the cohort!
This one-day workshop delves into key elements of Studying Skillful Teaching, Research for Better Teaching’s cornerstone program for developing high expertise teaching in classrooms. By attending this workshop you will not only have a better understanding of RBT’s key philosophy but will learn skills that can be used in your classroom immediately.
Nothing is more complex, challenging, or important than assuring high levels of learning for each and every student. And no single factor has a greater impact on student learning than skillful teaching.

Build on decades of research into evidence-based instructional strategies that meet the needs of today’s classrooms, participants will walk away with concrete tools to:

  • Communicate messages of high expectations for all students
  • Influence student confidence and conviction that “smart is not what you are; smart is what you get with effective effort”
  • Plan lessons that focus learners on what’s most important and lead to strong results
  • Use formative assessment data to determine differentiated next steps for student learning
  • Develop a shared language and concept system around teacher decision-making in classrooms
