Today in North America, more non-Orthodox Jewish children receive education in after-school programs than in any other setting, making these programs the foundation of Jewish identity for countless young people. Our work—through peer networks, professional development, and microgrants—empowers educators to create meaningful, relevant Jewish learning that positively influences learners and their families. A thoughtful, nuanced approach to Israel is central to this education and essential to a rich, enduring Jewish future.

By offering high-quality and warm Jewish educational environments, the Jewish community welcomes young children and their families into vibrant Jewish life experiences. Throughout the year, we provide opportunities for early childhood educators to connect with and learn from one another, to incorporate meaningful Jewish and Israel education in their curriculum, and to experiment with cutting-edge approaches that meet the needs of the Jewish community’s newest members.

We help create meaningful Jewish experiences for teens, enabling them to discover answers to core questions of adolescence: “Who am I? To whom and to what am I connected? To whom and for what am I responsible in this world? How can I make a difference in this world?” Through professional development that focuses on teen mental health, Israel, Jewish joy/pride, and other core topics that affect young people at this critical age, we help educators foster supportive, inspiring environments that motivate Jewish teens to be their best selves, all year round.

We work to secure vital government funds that uplift both educators and students across New York. Our dedicated team brings deep expertise to navigate a complex system, ensuring that millions of dollars in support reach all Yeshiva and Day Schools in our region. In addition to helping schools access these funds, we deliver professional development and lead curriculum development tailored to the needs of our communities. These resources—including educator training, instructional tools, and family support—strengthen each school we serve and help our communities thrive.

The Center for Jewish-Inclusive Learning engages with K-12 public and independent schools to proactively educate about the Jewish people and Israel, and to prevent bias, discrimination, and hate. Amplifying the voices of the New York Jewish community in education coalitions and working with school district leaders to promote an inclusive and safe learning environment, we ensure accurate instruction related to Jewish issues, and support educators in teaching Jewish topics with confidence.

We believe that Jewish learning at home strengthens Jewish education. That’s why we offer parents and families easy access to trusted, high-quality resources and webinars that support meaningful Jewish experiences beyond the classroom. Whether parents are seeking how to have age-appropriate conversations about Israel or looking for creative ways to celebrate the Jewish holidays with their children, we provide them with engaging content that empowers them to raise confident, curious, and connected Jewish children.
