New York State Global History Regents Update:
Understanding Part II: The Short Answer Constructed Response Question and Part III; Enduring Issues Essay
Registration deadline: November 9th, 2018
Participants will examine the updated and revised Constructive Response Question (CRQ) prototypes and learn more about the context, sourcing, and relationship questions on Part II of the new Framework-based Regents Examination in Global History and Geography II. Terminology related to Part II and Part III will be defined and discussed. Finally, teaching strategies will also be discussed.
Mr. Howard Rothbort has been teaching high school Social Studies for 25 years in both public and private schools. Mr. Rothbort currently serves as the Social Studies department chairperson at the Yeshivah of Flatbush in Brooklyn, NY. In addition, he works as an educational specialist for the New York State Education Department in Albany, NY. In 2015, Mr. Rothbort was the recipient of the Grinspoon Award for Excellence in Jewish Education.
